Story of Marinoto Home & Hospital Care

Marinoto Home & Hospital Care is the trusted provider of various levels of care in Inglewood, including hospital-level and palliative care, respite, and day care services. With a strong sense of pride, our staff ensures residents receive quality care.

As the only rest home in Inglewood offering five types of care, Marinoto stands out for its commitment to the community. We also support Meals on Wheels through the NZ Red Cross and the Inglewood volunteers, delivering meals to those in need.

Some of our special features include:

A number of our residents have lived in the Inglewood area for many years so they have established strong links within the community. Likewise as a community based facility we also have considerable input from local people who frequently visit. This interaction of local people creates a sense of social connectedness.

We support our residents to retain as much independence as possible and to be involved as much as they wish in the day to day activities in the home.

Marinoto is spacious yet homely. Many of the living spaces look like one might expect in a large country home.

Understanding of the transition that accompanies rest home entry is always an important consideration to management and staff when providing support to the resident’s family.

Family may assist in the care of their relative if they wish to. Family are invited to have input into care plans.

Nineteen of our 32 rooms have ensuites, some offer access to outdoor deck areas, and all residents can enjoy dedicated phone lines and WiFi.

Location

Marinoto Rest Home, conveniently located near Inglewood central township and a short walk from local amenities, allows new residents to bring their mobility scooters for continued use.

Food

We have our own modern kitchen where we prepare tasty, fresh meals daily.
We’re able to cater for individual dietary requirements and preferences.

Grounds

Marinoto Rest Home is set within beautiful park-like grounds. Our home is adjacent to beautiful bush walks and reserves and will often see native NZ wildlife in our windows including Tūī, Kererū, Fantail/Piwaiwaka and more!
