Visiting Information

Visitors are asked to sign-in on our Visitor/fire safety Register.

Please do not visit if you are feeling unwell or have any cold or flu symptoms.  If you have recently been unwell or been in contact with someone who is unwell, we recommend that you wear a mask when visiting.

What will change?

Anyone of any age can visit.

No set visiting hours for now but if visiting very early or late, please be mindful of the needs of other residents.

Residents can go for a drive or outing with family or a friend, but we need to keep a travel log of where they have been for contact tracing purposes, so please discuss with a manager or registered nurse before leaving.

Living with COVID

Please do not visit if you are unwell or suspect you might be “getting something”.

If COVID cases in the community start to rise again, we may need to re-introduce some precautions for visiting but this will be done in line with guidance from Te Whatu Ora in order to protect our vulnerable residents and maintain safe staffing levels.

Marinoto News - February 2020

Sadly we said goodbye to Peter Anderson, a long time committee member, past President and lately advisory member.

There has been a lot happening at Marinoto. We have finally got Health Certification to enable Marinoto to provide hospital level and palliative care as well rest home, respite and day care. Marinoto also provides many Inglewood people with regular Meals on Wheels - thanks to the volunteers from Red Cross who distribute these meals.

Marinoto staffing numbers have increased. Alongside our clinical nurse manager, business manager and administrator there is now five registered nurses on board as well as a diversional therapist, health care assistants, kitchen and cleaning staff.

Marinoto would not be the wonderful home it is without the many visitors - family, friends, organisations, and volunteers who contribute to the home in so many ways. Inglewood Lions have both provided many hours of voluntary labour and funds for a new sensory garden and Inglewood Rotary has been busy laying new lawns. Marinoto is very grateful for the support from the Inglewood community and all the wonderful organisations and volunteers that support them.
