Is there a Physiotherapist?

A Physiotherapist visits twice a year and can be arranged at other times as necessary.

Do you have a Registered Nurse available?

Marinoto employs a Registered Nurse. She is responsible for assessing, creating, evaluating and updating each Resident's individual Care Plans. The Registered Nurse may be contacted on weekdays and is on call at all other times.

Can I see my own Social Worker?

Should any Resident require the services of a Social Worker, this can be arranged.

What if I need a Diversional Therapist?

Nat, who is completing her formal training, carries out a range of activities during the week with the Residents as a group, but also develops individual programmes to suit the interests of each Resident.

Do you have a Hairdresser?

The hairdresser visits on a regular basis and if Residents let staff know when they'd like to have their hair cut, staff can make a booking for the next visit.

Do you have a Podiatrist?

A registered podiatrist visits the rest home on a regular basis and Residents or family can let staff know if a booking is needed for the next visit.  Staff will help Residents with nail care between visits but do not cut toenails to avoid risk of injury. 

Do you have a Dietitian?

The meals are designed to provide the Residents with an interesting, nutritionally balanced diet.  The menu is reviewed by a registered dietician every two years, or more often if significant changes are made.

Is there a Chaplain/Spiritual Advisor?

A short service is conducted once a month on a Thursday afternoon by the local Anglican minister.  Other arrangements to provide for a Resident's spiritual or religious needs can be discussed and will be supported as much as it is possible for us to do so.
